Safety Standard
16 CFR 1633 COMPLIANT
The Federal Mattress Flammability Standard, 16 CFR 1633, went into effect on July 1, 2007. Leggett & Platt has long been working very closely with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and with our business partners in an effort to ensure compliance with the new regulation.
Please know that Leggett & Platt adjustable bases have been built to our “LPS 1” specifications and this specification has been tested with a variety of mattresses. We are pleased to tell you that in each testing situation, the foundation and mattress, as paired together, meet the stringent testing requirements of 16 CFR 1633. We have the testing data and reports from an internationally known and respected laboratory to back that up. Further, we have the necessary records regarding the components used in the base. These records are available to you upon request.
